OXFORD, ENGLAND – Solid State Logic (SSL) the world’s leading manufacturer of analogue and digital audio consoles and provider of creative tools for film, audio, video and broadcast professionals, today announced the sale of its C200 HD broadcast audio console to “Radio the Voice of Vietnam” (VOV) the first large-format SSL console in the country.

VOV, based in Hanoi, is the State radio broadcaster for Vietnam and broadcasts six channels of news, cultural programming, and music to listeners throughout Vietnam, including regional ethnic minorities and Vietnamese nationals living abroad.

To better serve its large and growing worldwide audience, VOV recently built a new radio theatre in Hanoi, which required a powerful and feature-rich digital console for a wide range of live-to-air productions and multi-track recording duties, while still being flexible enough to provide - when necessary - post production functions and front-of-house feeds.

The SSL C200 HD meets those requirements on all counts. The console chosen by VOV is a 48 frame version with 96 in-line channels. It will be supplied with SSL’s C-SB remote stage box, which provides 48 24-bit microphone inputs plus analogue outputs for local monitoring. In addition, to facilitate VOV’s connection to existing Pro Tools DAW’s, they will install two SSL Delta-Link MADI HD units and four Alpha-Link MADI converters; as well as XLogic Alpha VHD mic preamps for ancillary inputs.

Solid State Logic’s Area Sales Manager for South East Asia and China Anthony Gofton said, “'VOV first made contact via our website, which led in turn to a series of meetings and ultimately a highly significant sale that marks the first large-scale SSL console sold into Vietnam. VOV is a prestigious broadcaster with a global audience and we are delighted that the C200 HD will be at the heart of their operations.”
