SSL showcases growing product portfolio at IBC 09

OXFORD, ENGLAND — At IBC 2009 (Hall 8. D83), SSL will demonstrate the new C10 HD compact broadcast console, the industry proven C100 HD-S large format on-air console, the new 24 fader format Duality, the new X-Desk 8 fader analogue mixer and our portfolio of XLogic analogue processing, Alpha-Link AD/DA audio format converters and MADI based audio interfaces. To highlight the new version of Gravity™ Asset Browser web client based on Microsoft’s Silverlight technology the Gravity Asset Manager will be demonstrated in the Microsoft Corporation Topaz Lounge exhibit area.

C10 HD

The C10 HD Compact Digital Broadcast Console is demonstrated at IBC for the first time in Europe. The C10 HD combines the highest standards of reliability and performance for a wide range of on-air applications, with intelligently simplified design and operation, all in an exceptionally cost effective and compact package. “The C10 HD brings an unprecedented combination of size, price and performance to the broadcast console market,” says Niall Feldman, SSL Director Of New Products. “The C10 HD is packed with features which solve a number of production challenges faced by small-to-mid scale and regional broadcasters who need to improve the quality of their audio production as they move to HD transmission.” Read More.

C100 HD-S

The market leading C100 HD-S Digital Broadcast Console. The console will be showcased with the new Blackrock processor system, accompanied by the new B-RIO modular I/O rack, MORSE Stage Box and MORSE Router. “The development of the new technology in Blackrock and B-RIO enhances the robustness, flexibility and space efficiency of the C100,” says Niall Feldman, SSL Director Of New Products. “The C100 HD-S Console is the operational interface for a completely scalable, expandable system that is custom configured to precisely match client requirement, and the introduction of Blackrock enhances our capability to deliver what our customers need now and over the coming years.” Read More.

A new version of the Gravity™ Asset Browser web client based on Microsoft’s Silverlight technology will be available for demonstration in Microsoft’s Topaz Lounge exhibit area. The Silverlight integration enhances the connection capabilities between an Internet browser and the Gravity Media Asset Management system. “Integrating Microsoft’s Silverlight software platform into the Gravity system is part of our strategy to enable customers to easily manage, share and manipulate media over the web,” says Shaun McTernan, Gravity product manager for SSL DV Ltd.
