OXFORD, ENGLAND – Solid State Logic is pleased to announce that a series of key customer studio tests have revealed that the hugely successful SSL Delta-Link MADI-HD interface is functioning well with the new generation of ProTools® software and cards. Since the announcement of the new software and cards at the NY AES show in October 2011 there has been considerable industry speculation regarding whether the new versions of ProTools software and hardware would be compatible with existing hardware interfaces. A number of key SSL clients have been testing the new software and cards with SSL’s Delta-Link unit and all report that their systems are performing exactly as they should.
It has not been necessary for SSL to develop any new firmware for the new versions but Delta-Link units do need to be running firmware version V2.0 which has been publicly available since June 2011. Download it here
Jim Motley, Head of Workstation Partner Products Business, added “It’s great to be able to announce Delta Link compatibility based on real-world applications of our products. Thanks to feedback from some of our key customers with large SSL I/O setups we have been able to test Avid’s new cards and software working in existing installations.”
