Audio Console Specialist

Based: Begbroke, Oxford, UK
Reporting to: Product Manager
Conditions: Full Time, Salaried

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced audio engineer to join a world-leading manufacturer of professional audio products. As SSL’s Audio Console Specialist, you will play an integral role within the audio console business, working with the Sales team to meet customers, understand their needs and demonstrate SSL’s console benefits. This vacancy will suit an individual who is looking to use their strong audio engineering background and who is also interested in the commercial side of business. Your day to day role will be both varied and exciting including; - Introducing new products to the market – Developing new training programmes to educate and inform both internal and external customers - Contributing to new sales through providing your unique expertise to customers - Present products on site and at road shows/seminars - Provide feedback to the development team in order to increase innovation - Understanding needs, looking at future market trends and assisting Product Managers with the day to day activities including software testing, documentation and other more general support.

Specifically responsible for

  • Demonstrations of SSL’s product range through on-site evaluation and at exhibitions
  • Providing market feedback to the product managers
  • Assistance with product development and hardware & software testing
  • Develop a structured training programme for both internal and external clients
  • Assistance with creation and collation of product documentation
  • Preparation and collation of demonstration material for exhibitions

Key qualifications and capabilities

  • Audio engineering experience with digital audio mixing consoles and workstations
  • A keen understanding and experience of a broad range of console applications
  • Product presentation and training experience
  • Knowledge of different operating systems
  • Excellent command of the English language, preferably documentation skills
  • Preferably fluent in one other language or other language experience
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours as the role demands
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally at short notice
